A light bulb went off over my head a couple of weeks ago and I decided that would be the perfect room for my studio. The short wall faces west and is all windows so I will have a lot of natural light (if the sun ever shines in NW Ohio again). So my darling hubby, Richard, and I spent an entire weekend cleaning and pitching and marking items for this spring's yard sale and finally the conversion was complete. Well....almost - there are still a few minor storage adjustments to be made. Here are the results:
There are storage shelves to the left and then my jewelry design table with lighted magnifier. Across the back wall under the windows is a work table that also has my laptop and a printer to the left and Richard's stereo on the right (yes, he even let me use his stereo!!). Who can be creative without good music??? And you're probably wondering about the long item on the right covered in black???? That's my electronic keyboard that I haven't been able to play for about 5 years! Another reason to clean out this room - LOL
I also plan to use this room for scrapping and thought this table would be good for my scrapbooking hobby. Although the space is rather small, it really is multi-functional and I'm sure I'll be spending a lot of time here.
Now I just have to find some time to get creative and design some more jewelry!
Another area of organization I'm working on is all my networking sites. I am following so many blogs and FB pages now I'm having trouble keeping track. Add to that all the .ning sites I've joined and other crafters networking sites....my head is spinning!!! So I've created a "networking" folder in my favorites to attempt getting things in order. Wish me luck!!
I just found out today that I won a contest on VA Beach Quilter's blog - WOO-HOO!! I won a cute quilted wallet in pretty blue paisley (I love paisley!!) Be sure to check out her blog and follow the links to her shops while you are there. She has some beautiful quilted items! Thanks Kim for your blog and your monthly giveaways! I'll be posting pictures when I receive my prize!
I am also showcased on Julie's Creations With Heart blog again on her Top Handmade Creations of the Week feature. Thanks Julie - love your blog! Be sure to visit her blog and see all the showcased artisans.
Even though I haven't had time to do any designing, I have been posting new items to my Artfire shop Caty Ann's Creations. My latest addition is this set called Ebony and Ivory. The set sells for $25.00. Separately the necklace is $20.00 and the bracelet is $10.00 - check out my shop for more detailed views.
Everyone have a wonderful week.
Hugs - Cathy
