Share the Love - Chrysalis Designs

This weeks Featured Artisan is Regina Plummer McDonald, better known as Gina, owner and designer at Chrysalis Designs by RM. Gina has beautiful creations and are all true works of art!

She currently resides in Chattahoochee, Florida with her husband, Larry in a small house outside of Chattahoochee surrounded by woods and wildlife.

Gina is an avid supporter of REFUGE HOUSE, an organization who serves battered women and their children and victims of sexual violence. She herself is a survivor of domestic violence. She designs and makes a special line of jewelry (T.A.I.S.I.) that specifically benefits this worthwhile organization. Forty percent of the proceeds from the sale of these pieces is donated to the REFUGE HOUSE so that they can continue to serve the entire "Big Bend" area. She also is happy to donate her work to other charitable organizations and just recently made a donation to Covenant Hospice for their Gala in June. She is also more than happy to give her time and skills to any charitable organization to teach a class and donate the proceeds from the tuition generated or donate a piece for an auction or raffle. As she puts it, "I am truly and richly blessed and believe in giving back to the community."

Share the Love - Handmade Creations by Shelly

Handmade Creations by Shelly - Featured Artisan!

I opened my shop four years ago this August. For the past 10 years I have been selling my products at Craft Fairs and some of my fellow craft friends told me about Etsy. I had never sold my items on-line and it was a big step for me.

Over the past four years I have been so lucky to have been guided by so many wonderful shop owners as to the ins and outs of on-line shops. I am thrilled to say that I sell World Wide.

Share the Love - LA Jewelry Designs

All beads are created by me, Lea Avroch, in my New York studio!

Unable to work following a spine disability, I started making jewelry over 15 years ago, hence the name.

I had been making jewelry for many years and would often find myself wishing I had a particular bead. So when I found out about a beginner lampwork class at the local art league I jumped on it and was immediately hooked. I've never looked back.

While I still make the occasional piece(s) of jewelry, my focus is on making beads. I get inspiration mostly from nature; ocean, sand, beach, flowers, etc. It's such joy to open the kiln in the morning to see the finished beads from the day before.

It is my hope that my beads will inspire your creativity in your jewelry.

Share the Love - Danu's Treasure Trove

We are a mother (Theresa) and daughter (Liz) team of artists and crafters. We create arts and crafts for the spirit. Our goal is to match each creation with the individual for whom it was designed. Spirit works in mysterious ways sometimes to bring about those matches.

I am Theresa, the "mom" half of this team. I am also known as Sóbhrag among my shamanic community. My first venture into crafts was as a teenager, when I discovered I could augment my wardrobe by making my own clothes. I considered sewing a practical skill, not a talent or an art. You see, I was not artistic or creative. At least, that's what I grew up believing.

Jewelry making is an out-growth of my life-long love and fascination with rocks. When I started on the shamanic path, I realized that stones had always been speaking to me; but I had not learned how to listen. I had made jewelry, at times, over the years to accessorize special outfits for myself and the kids. I had the skills; and now I had the reason. It became my passion to create things that were both aesthetically pleasing and spiritually meaningful.

Share the Love - Creations By Moonlight

Allurynn lives in Southwest Colorado with her husband and soul mate, their wonderful children, and their beloved fur children on their Alpaca Ranch. She’s been surrounded for 21 years by all the beauty that Colorado has to offer. Crafting with her hands has been a passion of hers for many years, as well as working with a variety of mediums, all of which is inspired by nature’s beauty. She has been on her magickal Goddess journey for many years now; following the rhythms and cycles of the Moon and our Mother Earth. Nature not only inspires her, but it also feeds her soul, like the creation of her art does. Creations by Moonlight was created 8 years ago, a place where she can share her passion and love of handcrafted items to inspire, honor and adorn the Goddess in every woman, be it through her jewelry or unique treasures. Her art is a reflection of her own spirituality and vision. Each piece of art is handcrafted and designed by the flow of energy at the moment of creation, inspired by nature’s beauty and enhanced by the colorful mountains and landscapes of Colorado. She allows her inner Goddess to reflect love and joy through her paintings and paper art and through her jewelry she allows the Goddess within to honor the Goddess in every woman. As a result of this unique blend and the nature of wire wrapping, no two designs are exactly alike. Making one of-a-kind pieces of art allows for uniqueness and individuality. It gives her great joy to offer these magickal creations of art, which she believes has a voice of their own, each humming their own beautiful tune…just listen and enjoy!
